Job Details

Vortex Consulting is seeking a senior level SAP Aftermarket/MRO Consultant to assist with an implementation project.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Strong understanding of SAP Service-to-Cash and Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul processes. The consultant will be expected to lead a team of process and business team resources through system design and build, and execution of standard planned fit-gap analysis workshops.
  • Strong knowledge of aftermarket sales, service parts logistics, and MRO operations, preferably A&D industry specific.
  • Familiarity with service contracts, warranties, returns, and repair processes.
  • Knowledge of service order management and field service operations.

Position Requirements:

  • 10 years of SAP Functional experience in SAP SD (Sales and Distribution), CS (Customer Service), and integration with PM (Plant Maintenance).
  • Excellent knowledge of service orders, billing scenarios (e.g., time & material, fixed price), and returns processing.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA Service Management and Fiori apps for service execution.
  • Strong analytical skills to define and document functional specifications for custom service flows.
  • Understanding of integration with MM (for spare parts), FI (for billing), and CRM (for customer interactions).
  • Familiarity with EDI, IDocs, and service-related interfaces.
  • Ability to configure SAP for this domain.
  • Must be able to lead workshops with service and aftermarket stakeholders.
  • Strong documentation and process mapping skills.
  • Experience working in agile teams and SAP Activate phases.

This is a 12 month project with occasional travel to Western NY.
