Job Title: ServiceNow Platform System Administrator

Overview

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Platform System Administrator to maintain and enhance the stability, usability, and performance of our ServiceNow environments across production and non-production instances. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation in ServiceNow administration, development support, and enterprise IT service management, along with a solid grasp of modern software development methodologies and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Platform Administration & Stability
    • Maintain stability, reliability, and usability of the ServiceNow platform.
    • Perform routine system maintenance including performance monitoring, issue remediation, and patch management.
    • Manage ServiceNow instance security including user/group access, roles, and access control lists (ACLs).
    • Schedule and verify instance clones across environments.
  • Configuration & Development Support
    • Provide hands-on configuration support to ServiceNow developers.
    • Manage the creation, update, and migration of update sets.
    • Support the development and maintenance of:
      • Catalog items
      • Workflows
      • Tables and fields
      • List, form, and navigation pane layouts
    • Lead or participate in configuration reviews and ServiceNow upgrade planning and execution.
  • Incident Management
    • Monitor and resolve incidents related to ServiceNow applications and modules.
  • Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) & Methodologies
    • Apply knowledge of SDLC practices including Agile, DevOps, Lean, Iterative, and Waterfall methodologies.
    • Utilize the Now Create methodology for ServiceNow implementation and enhancement projects.
  • Application & Integration Development
    • Demonstrated experience developing ServiceNow applications or similar platforms.
    • Develop and maintain integrations using web services (REST, SOAP).
    • Work with modern programming and scripting languages including JavaScript, AngularJS, and CSS.
    • Experience with client-server, middleware, and web/cloud-based platforms.
    • Experience supporting mobile or cloud-native applications is a plus.
  • Architecture & Data Management
    • Demonstrated experience in software architecture, design patterns, and secure coding principles.
    • Hands-on experience with data modeling and relational databases, especially Configuration Management Databases (CMDBs).

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in ServiceNow platform administration and support.
  • Proficient in ServiceNow System Administration with advanced configuration and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience in Enterprise Service Management or IT Service Management (ITSM).
  • Strong understanding of relational data structures and database manipulation techniques.
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework and its practical application within ServiceNow.
