As a Staff Software Engineer with the Customer Care Technology team, you will own the technical design and implementation of key customer facing features as well as engineering excellence and operational excellence solutions. You will exemplify best engineering practices, providing hands-on leadership to the organization. Your technical leadership will shape our architecture and engineering excellence practices.

About Team:

The Customer Care Technology team builds best-in-class customer service experiences for hundreds of millions of Walmart customers and customer service agents globally. We are a group of software engineers, data scientists, and machine learning experts pushing the boundaries of GenAI technology in complex enterprise applications. The Customer Care Technology team is part of the Enterprise Business Systems organization in Walmart Global Tech. We partner with our product, business and UX teams to drive significant measurable business impact. Our mission is to help customers save money and live better.

What You'll Do
  • In this role, you'll collaborate with business teams and product managers to understand project requirements.
  • You'll lead a team of Senior Engineers and junior Engineers to plan and execute projects for the team.
  • You'll work with teams globally to arrive at optimal solutions involving key stakeholders.
  • You will also closely work with the architects to come up with high level and low-level designs.
  • You'll develop, unit test, and deliver software components accordingly.
  • You'll also contribute to Operational Excellence and Engineering Excellence initiatives.
  • Additionally, creating tools and systems to boost team productivity will be a significant part of your responsibilities.

What You'll Bring
  • Over 10 years of experience in developing distributed computing solutions REST web services.
  • Experience with asynchronous messaging using Kafka and NoSQL technologies.
  • Proven experience in building multi-tenant software platforms.
  • Experience in deploying to cloud services like Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
  • A deep interest and passion for technology.
  • The ability to learn quickly and view learning as a continuous experience.
  • Eagerness to share knowledge and implement best practices within the team.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The annual salary range for this position is $132,000.00-$264,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
