Position Advanced Manufacturing Engineer (AME)

Job Type - Fulltime
The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer (AME) supports senior leadership in achieving strategic goals focused on profitability, cost reduction, and operational excellence. The AME identifies and executes Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) initiatives to improve product cost, quality, and manufacturability across multiple sites.
This role collaborates with general managers and site manufacturing engineers to standardize processes, optimize designs, manage digital systems (Oracle, CAD, Industry 4.0 tools), and support long-term planning for product and process rationalization.
Key Responsibilities (Summary)
- Identify and execute cost-reduction and quality improvement opportunities via design for manufacturability and standardization.
 - Support should cost analysis and modular design strategies.
 - Establish best practices for BOMs and routings in Oracle.
 - Act as a digital/software expert for Oracle, Industry 4.0, PDM, and CAD tools.
 - Contribute to capital projects, equipment standardization, and process improvement initiatives.
 - Provide strategic input for process capability, product rationalization, and capacity planning.
 
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor s degree in industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
 - 7 10 years experience in manufacturing engineering (preferably in fabrication and assembly).
 - Experience supporting multiple facilities and product lines.
 
Technical & Process Knowledge
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes: metal cutting/forming, welding, assembly, paint, tooling, electrical integration.
 - Deep knowledge of BOMs (Bills of Material) and routings with focus on labor cost impacts.
 - Proficiency in LEAN, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methods.
 - Oracle ERP system expertise (especially for BOMs and routings).
 - Familiarity with AutoCAD Inventor (preferred).
 - Understanding of Industry 4.0 software, PDM, and digital manufacturing tools.
 
Soft & Management Skills
- Strong project management
 - Excellent cross-functional collaboration and change management ability.
 - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
 - Ability to work in a heavy manufacturing, multi-shift environment.
 - Consistent attendance and reliability.
