AI Architect (Onsite ? Memphis, TN)
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled AI Architect to join an enterprise team onsite in Memphis, TN. This role offers the opportunity to lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced AI solutions that directly impact business operations. Candidates must be local to the Memphis area or able to reliably commute. Fully remote or relocation candidates will not be considered at this time.
Responsibilities
Design and build scalable data and AI infrastructure, including model selection, versioning, indexing, feedback capture, monitoring, and performance optimization.
Implement AI solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing enterprise systems and enhance business functionality.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, enterprise architects, and business stakeholders to develop and deploy AI models aligned with organizational objectives.
Ensure reliability, security, and scalability of AI and data orchestration systems, incorporating ethical AI practices and bias mitigation.
Establish governance frameworks and monitoring processes to ensure transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement of AI solutions.
Required Skills
Proven hands-on experience in Data Engineering, AI Engineering, or a similar role focused on production-level implementation of AI and data orchestration solutions.
Strong ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable AI solutions.
Proficiency in Python (required) and familiarity with Java (preferred).
Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as LangChain, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
Hands-on expertise with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases (e.g., FAISS, Pinecone, Milvus, Chroma), embeddings, and indexing.
Practical knowledge of prompt engineering, prompt flows, and AI architectural patterns.
Cloud deployment experience, particularly with Azure (preferred) and AWS (acceptable).
Familiarity with API architecture, integration, and fine-tuning methodologies (PEFT) is a plus.
Strong understanding of AI governance, observability, monitoring, feedback loops, and ethical AI considerations.
Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities in agile delivery environments.
Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Relevant certifications in AI, data engineering, or cloud computing are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience deploying customer-facing AI applications in production environments.
Expertise in AI model lifecycle management and version control.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Location Requirement
This position is onsite in Memphis, TN. Only candidates who are already local to the Memphis area will be considered.
