Senior Product Manager (12 Month Contract)

We are seeking a contract Sr. Product Manager who excels in all phases of a hardware product lifecycle from beginning to end with a sharp focus on customer experience: Exploration, Definition, Development, GTM, Sustaining and EOL. The ideal candidate is forward-thinking, highly influential, can effectively prioritize, communicate, and motivate cross functional teams in achieving product alignment.

NPI

  • Definition of Hardware NPI and its functionalities by drafting user stories for end-to-end experience from onboarding to daily usage of the products.
  • Definition & creation of Hardware SKUs across all regions, review of UX/ID and lead the PCM activities
  • Present to management team to get product approval and funding
  • Collaborate with the development team while balancing tradeoffs, schedule and integrity of the offerings
  • Alpha/Beta testing - inject feedback, prioritization as well as support and continuous monitoring
  • Support the development of all collateral (e.g. retail box artwork, guide, knowledge base articles)
  • Lead the discussion for the GTM plan with the cross-functional teams

Sustaining

  • Prioritization of post-launch items, support community issues, reviewers activities, monitor online reviews and returns
  • Identify trends and lead discussions to determine resolution
  • Lifecycle management including EOL
  • Actively lead the internal discussions on Customer Experience, revamp areas that cause user frictions

Research & Exploration

  • Conduct continuous competitive analysis, research new concepts/technologies
  • Collaborate with the research team to better understand user sentiments, needs, feedback

Business Development

  • Research new technologies and use cases that Arlo could leverage through partnerships
  • Collaborate with technology partners (e.g. ISP vendors)
  • Support technology partner integration and 3rd party device integration

Desired qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience, MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of mixed experience of hardware/software product management of consumer electronic products
  • Strong background of retail and consumer channels
  • Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, computer science, and wireless concepts

Preferred qualifications:

  • Camera or security product development/management experience
  • Experience managing ODM based projects a plus
  • Smart home/IoT product management experience
  • Exposure to the alarm and monitoring industry

The pay range for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries at commencement of employment and is expected to be between $136,900 to $188,195/year, plus equity. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including location, role, job-related knowledge, skills, relevant education and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including bonus, equity, and a full range of benefits.
