Job Description:

Apex Systems, a World-Class Technology Solutions Provider, is seeking a Full-Stack .NET Developer on behalf of one of our largest financial industry clients. Please apply if interested and qualified. Please note that only qualified candidates will be contacted. We cannot support C2C hiring.

Location: Plano, TX

Duration: 12 months+

Pay Rate Range: $53-$58/hr.

This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, coding solutions, unit testing, and ensuring the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces. Job expectations include an awareness of development and testing practices in the industry. This role is responsible for developing and managing complex software requirements to accomplish business goals. Ensures that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. Codes solutions, unit tests, and ensures the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces. Contributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance); Analyzes test reports, identifies any test issues/errors; Triages the underlying cause. Documents and communicates required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality. Participates, contributes, and can coach team members in the delivery/release (CI-CD) events. e.g. branching timelines, pull requests, issue triage, merge/conflict resolution, release notes. This position is for an Individual contributor with no direct reports.

Responsibilities:
  • Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.
  • Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements.
  • Performs Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) activities.
  • Contributes to story refinement and definition of requirements.
  • Participates in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle.
  • Contributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying cause.
  • Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
  • Strong hands-on coding ability in C# language with experience working in ASP.NET MVC framework and .NET Core.
  • Strong experience with UI development with Angular
  • Strong Database experience with SQL Server
  • Enterprise level software/platform architecture experience, including designing and delivering APIs and leading complex integrations.
  • Experience managing vendor integrations, open-source tooling, and API-based security solutions.
  • Design and build horizontally scalable components within the major platform that the team is developing.
  • An understanding of fundamental algorithms and ability to optimize existing code.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills to support and shape the platform and clearly articulate technical designs and concepts; and to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization.
  • Self-starter with the ability to challenge conventions, excellent communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills which enable ability to problem solve, apply reason, take initiative, use judgment, and perform concurrent tasks.


Relationship building skills:

A team player with strong interpersonal skills, e.g. collaborative working skills

Follows clean code principles (Experience with GitHub Copilot)

Follows Test Driven Development practices including continual integration (Experience with Octane)

Experience of Scrum/ Agile methods

Experience with data modeling inclusive of ingesting and storing data.

10+ years of experience in software engineering

7+ years of experience developing in .Net technologies as Full Stack Developer

5+ years of experience in UI development with Angular

5+ years of experience in SQL Server database

Working knowledge of build automation and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment using tools like Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Ansible Tower, Octane and others

Prior Scrum / Safe or Lean agile development experience

Prior banking/finance experience of working with globally distributed teams.

Works independently, with limited direction, and is evaluated through end results.

Interacts efficiently with internal contacts/teams to drive through the solution and solve problems.

Strong communication skills; proactively bring forward concerns.
