- Proven experience exposing Snowflake data to consumers and optimizing data models for high performance.
- Strong familiarity with Snowflake features that enable self-service analytics (e.g., data shares, secure views, masking policies).
- Demonstrated proficiency in Tableau data modeling and visualization.
- 5+ years in analytics engineering, BI development, or a related role, including 4+ years of hands-on Snowflake experience.
- Expertise in building governed datasets for business consumption.
- Track record of enabling business teams to transition from Excel-based workflows to BI or Snowflake-backed self-service solutions.
- Ability to experiment with emerging AI integrations while ensuring trust, governance, and compliance.
- Exposure to AI/LLM-assisted query generation (e.g., GPT-driven SQL, AI copilots for BI tools).
- Strong user engagement and coaching skills to promote self-service analytics adoption over reliance on Excel.

Role Overview

- Partner with business stakeholders to understand existing workflows and translate them into secure, efficient, and scalable solutions.
- Design and implement user-friendly data access and analysis workflows leveraging Snowflake and Tableau to reduce Excel dependency.
- Build and maintain datasets and semantic layers for self-service analytics.
- Prototype and integrate AI-assisted tools for data exploration, reporting, and insights, ensuring outputs remain trustworthy and governed.
- Deliver training, documentation, and ongoing support to drive adoption of new tools and workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
