We are seeking a Senior Solutions Architect that can perform a two-fold position. The ideal candidate will support the state Medicaid technology initiatives. These initiatives include, but not limited too, things like: Eligibility Systems, Online portals for beneficiary enrollment, EHR systems, modernization of systems, claims systems, etc. The candidate will be required to be onsite at the state Medicaid offices in Nashville Tennessee at least Monday and Thursday working with the customer, attending meetings, solutions sessions, requirements sessions, etc to advise on best practices in all technological initiatives. They will attend the meetings for designing and implementing the systems and be able to make recommendations on the best path forward, point out and discuss gaps and possible mitigations, recommend vendors, products and best practices. This candidate will also be a key intermediary between the state Medicaid system maintainers and policy makers and leadership and will continually report back to partners on statuses and recommendations. The ideal candidate will be able to quickly build rapport with the Medicaid teams, CIOs, Insurance commissioner, system and product vendors for Tennessee and likewise with KPMG leadership.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
- Masters degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 10 years in leadership roles of teams tasked to deliver state-of-the-art modernized IT systems.
- A solid understanding of Software design, software documentation, software development life process, and formal documentation standards, Track record with software requirements, structured analysis and design, teamwork, software maintenance, process improvement.
- Experience required with and participation in Software design sessions, software documentation, software development life cycle process, and formal documentation standards, process improvement
- Collaborate with user experience, content strategy, product delivery, and non-technical program management teams.
- Knowledge of usability/accessibility standards of user interface development to produce code compliant for Section 508 accessibility; experience working with development tools that aid in this process.
- A solid understanding of Cloud technologies like AWS
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including grammar and business style.
- Work closely with the system owners on the Medicaid side and executive teams.
- Ability to multi-task and support development teams to ensure timely software development deliverables.
- Must demonstrate significant initiative, independence, and ability to follow through.
- Security clearance or background check may be required at varying levels, depending on project assignments or roles.
