Role Overview:

Job Title: Transport Engineer
Location: Chandler, AZ (Hybrid - 3 days in-office: Tue-Thu)
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Transport Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for designing and managing the transport network to meet capacity demands, support new builds, and ensure seamless interconnection with core infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transport engineering, capacity analysis, and project management, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead transport projects for new builds, modifications, and conversions
- Order and track circuits (microwave, fiber, leased) using internal tools (e.g., CND, Fuse)
- Analyze circuit capacity and recommend upgrades
- Design transport networks to meet build plans and capacity needs
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely project delivery
- Coordinate with core interconnection points (SAP/TAP/Midso) and support 3rd party/internal transport needs
- Track project details and manage timelines, even with dedicated PM support
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in transport engineering
- Strong capacity analysis and network design skills
- Excellent communication skills for vendor and internal collaboration
- Ability to manage projects independently
- Adaptability to fast-paced, high-pressure environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with tools like Granite, CND, and Fuse
- Experience with wireless transport networks
- Understanding of IP assignment and network integration
- Knowledge of transport equipment (Nokia preferred; Cisco, Ciena, Fujitsu acceptable)
- Background in RF engineering with fiber/microwave transport exposure
Soft Skills:
- Quick learner with strong note-taking and documentation habits
- Proactive and assertive in driving project completion
- Willingness to undergo training and adapt to new tools/processes
