Job title: Application Support Technician
Location: Austin, Texas (Telework- local to Texas only)
Duration: Long term

The Worker provides technical assistance and support for application problems, which may include:
- Assisting in monitoring and providing assistance on the use and interface of systems, subsystems, and software applications.
- Assisting in the design, development, and maintenance of various system applications.
- Maintaining and assisting in testing and upgrading new and existing applications.
- Maintaining the necessary security controls over software and applications.
- Developing procedure manuals.
- Accessing data from and transferring data to various local, state, or federal databases.
- Preparing briefings, reports, and evaluations on system efficiency and utilization.
- Prepares or assists in the preparation of service record documentation. Shows awareness of standards and regulatory requirements related to assigned tasks.
The Worker should have experience/skills in:
- Automated data processing systems.
- Knowledge of the practices, principles, and techniques of computer operations, of information systems, of computer software and hardware, and of information security policies and procedures.
- The use and support of personal computers, in the use of applicable programs and systems, and in troubleshooting information systems.
- Ability to operate information technology systems, to communicate effectively, and to train others.
Required skills:
- 4 years of Experience with user assistance and support for application issues
- 4 years of Experience with the Microsoft Suite of tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Sharepoint)
- 3 years of Experience with assisting in testing and troubleshooting software applications
- 2 years of Communication skills, both verbal and written
- 1 year of Experience attending requirements gathering sessions
Preferred skills:
- 1 year of Experience with documenting processes
- 1 year of Experience using SQL
- 1 year of Candidates preferred who have a working knowledge of the following DFPS systems/programs (including but not limited to): IMPACT, PACES, ABCS, NEICE, Provider Portal, Salesforce, SSCC and Community Based Care
