Description
.Ride Control CAD Drafters work within Walt Disney Imagineering's Ride Studio on ride attraction project teams and are responsible for ride control system electrical/electronic equipment Computer Aided Design (CAD) and drafting activities. They work in a highly collaborative environment with multiple project teams.Location: Onsite Monday-Friday each week. Please note that we are NOT looking for engineers; we're looking for drafters. I Must have: 1)AutoCAD skills, 2) Experience with electrical control drawings We've pivoted to prioritizing AutoCAD drafting skills over knowledge of electronic/electrical control systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Responsibilities: Interpret electrical control system design requirements and draft original layouts, iterative assembly and detail drawings, schematics, artwork, isometrics, and illustrations. Review and integrate the technical requirements, technical accuracy, and design approach in conjunction with team engineers. Draft electro-mechanical packaging of industrial control panels and enclosures based on high-level concepts from engineers. Select components from WDI preferred manufacturers and draft design detail drawings and schematics for industrial control panels using AutoCAD. Ensure compliance with UL508a and National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements, and dimension and tolerance practices per ANSI Y14.5 Present and review drafted drawings with controls and mechanical engineers and attend meetings as needed. Model equipment locations in a ride facility design using Revit. Deliver production assembly drawings, detail drawings, bills of material, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and equipment lists. Prepare and release fully developed drawings into internal data management systems. Participate in reviewing engineering drawings supplied by vendors, clients, and other discipline groups, for adherence to drafting standards. Design multi-layer PCB assemblies based on engineering schematics.

The pay range for this position is $40.54 - $41.38/hr.
