Job Details
Job Title: ServiceNow CMDB Architect
Location : Jacksonville, FL or Austin, TX (Hybrid)
Duration : 6 Months (Contract to Hire)
Employment Type : W2 Or Self-corp only
Job Overview:
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a subject matter expert for ServiceNow CMDB and CSDM implementations.
- Lead and guide the evolution of the CMDB platform, identifying gaps and recommending improvements.
- Define and support technical governance processes, standards, and best practices.
- Architect and implement ServiceNow integrations with enterprise platforms (e.g., Workday, Snowflake, Jira, Harness).
- Develop strategic roadmaps aligning platform capabilities with business objectives.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of 4 and communicate with senior executives (VP/SVP level).
- Stay informed on new ServiceNow releases and advise on enhancement opportunities.
- Ensure platform scalability, performance, and compliance with security protocols.
- Guide custom development and ensure adherence to configuration and coding standards.
Current State & Objective
- CSDM implementation is in mid-stages
- Goal: Achieve full CSDM maturity
- Focus on evaluating current configurations and developing an actionable roadmap
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ years of experience as a ServiceNow Platform or CMDB Architect
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience
- Strong knowledge of CMDB, CSDM, ITSM, and ServiceNow architecture
- Proven leadership in cross-functional platform teams
- Experience with enterprise-scale ServiceNow implementations and integrations
- Strong understanding of cloud application technologies and enterprise architecture
- Ability to thrive in an unstructured environment and drive clarity and structure
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with custom development on the ServiceNow platform
- Experience with performance optimization and platform scalability strategies
- Familiarity with ITSM, SecOps, and other ServiceNow modules
