Job Details
A Collibra Data Quality and SQL Developer combines expertise in data governance and quality with strong SQL development skills. This role is crucial for ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance within an organization, particularly through the use of the Collibra platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collibra Implementation and Configuration: Design, develop, and implement data governance solutions using the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform, including configuring data dictionaries, business glossaries, workflows, and data quality rules.
- Data Quality Management: Develop and implement data quality checks and validation rules within Collibra, identify and resolve data quality issues, and monitor data quality metrics to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- SQL Development and Data Integration: Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes. Integrate Collibra with various data sources and systems using APIs, Collibra Connect, or other integration tools.
- Workflow and Automation Development: Design and develop custom workflows in Collibra to automate data governance processes, data quality remediation, and metadata management.
- Collaboration and Support: Work closely with data stewards, business analysts, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, define data governance policies, and provide training and support on the Collibra platform.
- Documentation and Best Practices: Create and maintain documentation for Collibra configurations, data quality processes, and data governance policies. Ensure adherence to data governance best practices and regulatory compliance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Collibra: Strong hands-on experience with the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform, including Collibra Data Governance, Data Catalog, and Data Quality modules.
- SQL Expertise: Advanced proficiency in SQL for data manipulation, querying, and performance tuning across various database systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake).
- Data Quality Concepts: Solid understanding of data quality principles, data profiling, data modeling, and data governance frameworks.
- Programming/Scripting: Experience with scripting languages like Python or Groovy for Collibra API integrations and workflow development is an added plus.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex data issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions.
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Relevant Experience: Typically requires several years of experience in data governance, data quality, or data engineering roles, with a focus on Collibra and SQL.
