Description

We are looking for a Network Security Engineer to join our team in San Diego, California. In this role, you will be tasked with the management of IT security, network, servers, and back-end applications. Your main goal will be to ensure the security and smooth operation of our stores and support center.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the IT team to design, implement, and maintain robust network security solutions aligned with industry best practices and compliance regulations.

Evaluate and recommend new security technologies to enhance overall network protection.

Proactively monitor network activity for suspicious behavior and potential security breaches.

Analyze security logs and alerts to identify and respond to security incidents efficiently.

Implement and maintain intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS).

Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and prioritize network weaknesses.

Work with IT teams to remediate vulnerabilities and patch security holes.

Develop, maintain, and test a comprehensive disaster recovery plan to ensure rapid recovery from outages, cyberattacks, or natural disasters.

Develop, implement, and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.

Conduct security awareness training for employees to foster a culture of cybersecurity best practices.

Work effectively with internal stakeholders across departments (IT, Engineering, Operations) to communicate security risks and solutions.

Collaborate with external vendors to maintain and update security software and services.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of Cyber Security.

Proficiency in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP).

Hands-on experience with Checkpoint.

Enterprise apps

Palo alto

Meraki

Juniper switches

Familiarity with Cisco ASA, Cisco Routers, and other Cisco Technologies.

Ability to troubleshoot and manage Computer Hardware.

Experience in Configuration Management.

Proven skills in Design related to Cyber Security.

Knowledge of Eigrp.

Expertise in Firewall Technologies.

Must have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

Ability to work well in a team environment.

Strong understanding of information security principles.

Proven ability to manage multiple tasks at once without sacrificing attention to detail.

Must have the ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
