Job Title: Business/Risk Analyst Wholesale Credit Risk (Banking & Lending)

Job Summary:
Our Client seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in wholesale credit banking/lending to support key initiatives aimed at enhancing credit risk modeling, operational efficiency, and risk management frameworks. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of deep domain expertise and a strong understanding of technology platforms used in credit risk and stress testing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with risk, finance, credit, and technology teams to gather and analyze requirements related to wholesale lending and credit products.
Facilitate the design and implementation of process improvements and technology solutions to enhance credit risk management, stress testing capabilities, and operational performance.
Translate regulatory, risk, and business requirements into clear and concise functional specifications.
Support development teams with documentation, clarification, testing strategies, and implementation.
Contribute to the modernization of credit risk systems and tools to improve efficiency and compliance.
Participate in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and assist with issue resolution and process validations.
Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications:
12+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in a wholesale credit banking/lending environment.
Strong understanding of credit risk management, including risk rating frameworks, exposure calculation, and regulatory capital concepts.
Hands-on experience with credit stress testing methodologies and reporting processes.
Ability to partner with technology teams to implement or enhance credit risk and operational tools.
Proven experience in gathering and documenting business and functional requirements for complex systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, hybrid environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience working in large financial institutions or investment banks.
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as Basel III, CCAR, or CECL.
Exposure to data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) or SQL for data analysis.
Knowledge of platforms used in credit risk modeling and management.
Work Arrangement:
Hybrid Model: Candidate must be able to work onsite in the NYC office 3 days per week.
Final interview will require in-person attendance at the NY/NJ location.
