Job Description:

Basic Qualifications

Education/Training: Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field of study
required; specialized bank finance education/training.

Skill(s): Proficient in English, reading, writing, grammar, and mathematical skills; proficient interpersonal
and communication skills; proficient knowledge of general ledger accounting and accounts payable functions,
GAAP, and financial reporting, including regulatory reporting; working knowledge of Allowance for Loan
and Lease Loss (ALLL); proficient financial analysis skills; proficient organizational and process/project
management skills; working knowledge of investment portfolio management; proficient PC skills, including
Microsoft Office and demonstrated knowledge of spreadsheet and financial analysis programs.
Experience: A minimum of five (5) years related experience required.

General Responsibilities
Responsible for performing various duties relating to the analysis of financial information and preparation of
financial reports; participating in the management of Bank investments; coordinating work within the
department, as well as with other departments; complying with operating policies and procedures established
for the financial analysis function; communicating with appropriate personnel; responding to inquiries or
requests for information; maintaining appropriate records and providing assigned reports.

Essential Duties

1. Performs various duties relating to the analysis of financial information and preparation of
financial reports of which the following are illustrative:
a. Ensures proper preparation and completion of regulatory reporting such as Call Report,
GUDPA, Summary of Deposits, and FR 2900.
b. Prepares reports and analysis to develop scenarios and strategies for Asset Liability
Management.
c. Assists in managing the Bank s liquidity position and cash flow needs.
Senior Financial Analyst
d. Oversees the development and startup of the Asset Liability Management system for
producing quarterly reports for ALCO.
e. Prepares documentation for the annual external audit and federal/state regulatory
examinations; gathers requested materials; and assists in preparing assigned schedules.
f. Reconciles general ledger accounts; prepares journal entries to close the general ledger on
a monthly basis.
g. Assists with special financial projects as assigned.
2. Participates in management of Bank investments as required in accordance with established
guidelines; makes recommendations for changes as needed.
3. Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and
implemented to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal
discriminatory behavior in the workplace.
4. Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures,
and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Bank's
compliance with all regulatory requirements, i.e. Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Bank
Secrecy Act (BSA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act, etc.
5. Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with
other departments in order to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.
6. Communicates with management and appropriate staff personnel in order to integrate goals and
activities.
7. Responds to inquiries relating to his/her particular area, or to requests from customers, other
Bank personnel, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.
8. Maintains appropriate records and provides assigned reports.
