Overview

The Enterprise Data Platform Engineer will be responsible for delivering high-quality data architecture for operational data stores, advanced analytics (AI/ML), Power BI reporting, API layers, and more. The engineer will collaborate with customers to understand requirements, translate them into designs and architectures, and help define delivery plans.

Responsibilities

  • Design and Architecture: Develop and maintain the architecture of data platforms, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Implementation: Implement data solutions using Microsoft technologies such as Azure Data Lake, Azure API, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Power BI.
  • Integration: Integrate various data sources and ensure seamless data flow across systems.
  • Optimization: Optimize data storage and processing to improve query performance and reduce costs.
  • Security: Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data architecture, processes, and best practices.
  • Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor data systems for performance and reliability and perform regular maintenance and updates.
  • Innovation: Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in data technology and proactively propose innovative solutions.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of Proven experience in data engineering, with a focus on the Microsoft modern stack
  • 15+ years relevant experience without degree
  • Programming Languages: Strong skills in SQL, Python, and other relevant programming languages.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Project Management: Experience in managing data projects and delivering results within timelines
  • Innovation: Demonstrated ability to innovate and implement cutting-edge data solutions

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with other cloud platforms and data technologies.
  • Certifications in Microsoft Azure or related technologies.
