Job Description

Dollar General is seeking a highly experienced React Native Lead to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-scale mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in React Native, solid leadership capabilities, and experience working in fast-paced, high-volume retail environments.

This role requires onsite presence in Nashville, TN and strong communication skills to collaborate with business, product, and engineering stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end development of mobile applications using React Native.
Architect scalable, reusable, and high-performance mobile solutions for iOS and Android.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to React Native developers.
Collaborate closely with Product Owners, UX/UI designers, backend teams, and QA.
Review code, enforce best practices, and ensure high code quality standards.
Integrate mobile applications with REST APIs, third-party services, and backend systems.
Handle app performance optimization, security, and production issue resolution.
Drive Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and estimations.
Ensure compliance with enterprise standards, security, and accessibility guidelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

10+ years of overall IT experience with 5+ years in React Native development.
Strong expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, React Native, Redux.
Experience with iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin/Java) integrations.
Hands-on experience with REST APIs, JSON, and mobile app architecture.
Knowledge of mobile CI/CD pipelines, app deployment, and release management.
Experience with performance tuning, debugging, and crash analysis.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Prior experience leading teams in enterprise or retail environments is a plus.

Nice to Have

Experience with React.js for web applications.
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
Experience with mobile security standards and app store compliance.
Retail or high-transaction application experience.
