Job Summary
We are seeking a Software Engineer (Vendor) to join our team and contribute to the development of scientific and technical software. The ideal candidate is a strong engineer with experience in scientific computing and a proven ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code in Python and C++. Experience in chemistry, quantum computing, or applied mathematics is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain scientific software using Python and C++
  • Collaborate closely with researchers and domain experts to translate scientific concepts into reliable, scalable code
  • Write efficient, well-structured, and well-documented software following best engineering practices
  • Contribute to code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement of software quality
  • Support development and maintenance of open-source projects, as applicable

Required Qualifications
  • Strong proficiency in Python and C++
  • Experience in scientific computing, technical software development, or engineering-focused applications
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
  • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional or research teams

Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in chemistry, quantum computing, physics, or applied mathematics
  • Experience developing and maintaining open-source software
  • Familiarity with GitHub and collaborative version control workflows
  • Exposure to performance optimization or computational modeling
