Job Title: QA Lead (W2)
Location: Remote
Job Type: Contract (W2)
Duration: 12 Months with possible extension
Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a W2 basis (No C2C)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QA Lead to oversee the quality assurance processes for software development and deployment. The QA Lead will manage a team of testers, design and execute test strategies, ensure software meets high standards, and work closely with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the QA team in planning, prioritizing, and executing test strategies for web, mobile, and/or enterprise software applications.
Define test plans, test cases, and QA processes aligned with product and technical requirements.
Develop and maintain automated and manual testing frameworks.
Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and DevOps to ensure product quality throughout the development lifecycle.
Track software defects and coordinate bug triage meetings.
Oversee performance, regression, functional, and UAT testing activities.
Provide mentorship, coaching, and guidance to QA Engineers.
Create quality metrics and generate regular reports on QA status and test coverage.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
6+ years of software QA experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
Strong experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit, Postman).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Git, or Azure DevOps.
Solid understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Ability to work on a W2 basis (no C2C or third-party agencies).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in testing APIs and web services (REST/SOAP).
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
ISTQB or equivalent certification.
Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
Familiarity with security testing concepts.
