Job Title: Senior Tableau Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Tableau Developer to lead the design and development of data visualization solutions that drive business decisions. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in BI development with deep expertise in Tableau, data modeling, and enterprise data strategy. You will work closely with stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to transform complex data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy interactive Tableau dashboards and reports.

  • Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into visual data stories.

  • Optimize dashboards for performance, scalability, and usability.

  • Develop advanced calculations using Tableau's calculated fields, LOD expressions, table calculations, and parameters.

  • Integrate Tableau with various data sources such as SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, Redshift, etc.

  • Work with large, complex datasets; conduct data cleansing, transformation, and validation.

  • Define and implement data governance, security, and user access models in Tableau Server.

  • Mentor junior Tableau developers and conduct code reviews.

  • Automate reports and build self-service BI tools where applicable.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Engineering, Product, and Analytics.

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in Business Intelligence and data visualization.

  • 8+ years hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server.

  • Strong experience in data modeling, ETL design, and data warehousing concepts.

  • Expertise in SQL (complex queries, performance tuning, joins, etc.).

  • Solid understanding of relational and multidimensional data models.

  • Familiarity with Tableau Prep and other data wrangling tools.

  • Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform preferred).

  • Proficiency in integrating Tableau with Python/R for advanced analytics is a plus.

  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Tableau Certified Professional (Desktop/Server)

  • Experience with other BI tools (Power BI, Qlik, Looker)

  • Background in data science or statistics is a plus

  • Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
