Technical Product Analyst - Manufacturing Technology Long-term Contract Remote (East Coast/Central Time Zones Preferred)

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Product Analyst to support manufacturing technology initiatives for a leading medical device manufacturer. In this role, you will be responsible for translating business requirements into actionable user stories, conducting data analysis to drive product decisions, and ensuring seamless execution of manufacturing technology solutions.

As the Technical Product Analyst, you will work closely with global stakeholders to capture requirements, analyze manufacturing data, and support the implementation of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and low-code development platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with global stakeholders including MedTech LCAP team members, site stakeholders (site quality, IT leads, SMEs), and development teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment
  • Create comprehensive user stories with clear acceptance criteria based on stakeholder input and business requirements to drive development priorities
  • Conduct detailed business analysis to understand manufacturing processes, identify improvement opportunities, and document functional specifications
  • Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends and patterns while creating data visualizations and reports to support decision-making
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with subject matter experts across multiple manufacturing sites to capture ideas and communicate requirements
  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog in collaboration with Technical Product Owners while participating in story refinement and sprint planning activities
  • Support system integration testing and user acceptance testing activities to ensure solutions meet business requirements and validate proper implementation
  • Monitor key performance indicators and provide insights on manufacturing efficiency while supporting root cause analysis for system performance issues
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including process flows, system specifications, and user guides for stakeholder communication
  • Present analysis findings and recommendations to stakeholders at various organizational levels while supporting training and knowledge transfer activities

Required Qualifications

Experience & Background

  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role in manufacturing or technology environments
  • Proven experience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholder relationships
  • Strong background in requirements gathering, process analysis, and documentation
  • Experience with manufacturing operations, quality systems, or industrial technology preferred
  • JIRA - Proficient in creating user stories, managing backlogs, and tracking project progress
  • Confluence - Strong skills in documentation creation, process mapping, and collaborative content development
  • Mendix - Experience with low-code application development and understanding of platform capabilities
  • Siemens Opcenter, CamStar, or similar MES tools - Working knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems and shop floor operations
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and reporting

Technical Skills (Nice-to-Have)

  • SAP S/4 HANA - Familiarity with enterprise resource planning systems and manufacturing modules
  • Figma - Basic understanding of UI/UX design principles and prototyping tools
  • LIMS - Knowledge of Laboratory Information Management Systems
  • IBM Maximo - Experience with asset management and maintenance systems
  • SQL or other data querying languages - For advanced data analysis capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in agile development environments
  • Knowledge of manufacturing quality standards (ISO 13485, FDA regulations, etc.)
  • Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP) or Product Management
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
