Key Responsibilities

• Build solid and supportable modular designs for data streaming and API product development in support of mission critical and mission vital applications
• Participate in the full lifecycle of the application, including design, coding, testing, implementation, deployment, as well as support and maintenance
• Consistently write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to specifications
• Adhere to best practices for developing scalable, reliable, and secure applications
• Continuously contribute to team performance improvement, work collaboratively, and integrate as one unified team
• Create technical documents and artifacts for developed solutions in written and diagram form
• Be an expert on the products that are built
• Work within automated testing and CICD processes
• Identify technical issues, articulate impact, and need for prioritization
• Proactively communication to both team and leadership

Required Skillset

• Deep understanding of AWS Cloud tools and technologies, including but not limited to CDKs, Lambda, DynamoDB, and S3
• Python v3.9 or higher and Python frameworks, such as Pytest
• Experience in developing, writing and executing test cases, and deploying code
• Experience with data engineering, data modeling, real time streaming and/or eventing, and json parsing
• Experience in building micro services and APIs utilizing Pydantic and Graphql
• Ability to look at code and understand and resolve inefficiencies
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Must be flexible and have a passion to learn and collaborate with colleagues
• Must have strong oral and written communication skills
• Be familiar with and understand the 12 principles behind the Agile Manifesto
• Have a good understanding of the 12 factors of application development
• Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, with 4 or more years of experience
• Business Intelligence/Analytics experience a plus
