The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) is seeking to onboard four (4) Project Manager 3's to assist with the preparation of transition to a new case management system. DFPS' priority focus for this transition will be remediating data as part of a transition to a new case management system, then followed by focus on other areas listed below. The Worker for the data project will work with and assist DFPS's data and technology teams and programs to conduct data analysis and remediation activities.
The data analysis and remediation activities shall align with DFPS's compliance with federal and state regulations and its goal of providing uninterrupted services to the children and families it serves. Data management services are needed in support of data cleansing efforts for the new system. The scope of these services shall include, but not be limited to the following:
- Assist DFPS in managing the overall data cleansing effort, assessing the quality of the data in the existing system and any related DFPS systems.
- Assist DFPS in guiding and completing the data remediation/cleansing activities through instruction and clear processes.
- Assist DFPS in communicating and coordinating with DFPS subject matter experts (SMEs) and other project stakeholders on the planned data cleansing routines to ensure alignment with business needs.
- Identify risks/issues and develop mitigation strategies.
- Assist DFPS in reporting to management on progress on a regular basis.
These efforts are expected to result in a robust, secure, and efficient foundation that will support transition to a new case management system resulting in efficiencies, improved decision-making, and accessible data within the DFPS child welfare and adult protection programs. The new case management system will also be compliant with CCWIS data quality and confidentiality requirements set forth by federal, state, and tribal laws, thereby supporting child welfare policies, goals, and practices.
The Project Manager 3's needed for this Staff Augmentation Services solicitation and as part of this project, also includes the following FUNCTIONAL AREAS: 1. Data Management; 2. Vendor Coordination; 3. Organizational Change Management; and 4. Program Management. One Project Manager 3 is needed for each functional area above to support and serve DFPS.
As a Project Manager, the job is to plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of the specific project you are working on. Project Managers might work by themselves or oversee a team to get the job done, coordinating cross functional teams and managing stakeholder communications. The Project Manager will facilitate collaboration between technical teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure readiness for the new case management system.
