Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise-level Oracle databases. The role involves database design, performance tuning, backup/recovery, high availability (HA), and disaster recovery management. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Oracle, Data Guard, GoldenGate, PLSQL, and Linux environments.

Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain enterprise Oracle databases with HA configurations.

Perform Oracle Data Guard management, RMAN backup/recovery, and GoldenGate replication.

Administer Oracle Advanced Security and implement database security standards.

Perform performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Support logical and physical database modeling, data dictionaries, and standards.

Analyze and implement changes to databases, ensuring minimal downtime.

Support disaster recovery planning and execution.

Manage UNIX/Linux OS requirements for database operations.

Provide technical support for application teams and users.

Assist in database software installation, upgrades, and benchmarking.

Required Skills:

5+ years of experience with Oracle Database Administration.

Strong experience with Oracle Multitenant, Oracle Advanced Security, PLSQL, Linux/UNIX.

Hands-on experience with Oracle Data Guard, GoldenGate, RMAN backup/recovery.

Knowledge of database design, performance tuning, and disaster recovery.

Strong understanding of database structures, modeling, and current DB technologies.

Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree preferred (or equivalent work experience).

Ability to work in a hybrid schedule in Lansing, MI.
