Sr. Automation QA Engineer at Hybrid Work-Burlington, NC location_6 Months of CTH

Role: Sr. QA Automation Engineer

Location: Burlington, NC for Hybrid Work (Every Wednesday Office)

Duration: 6 Months of Contract to Hire

Backend Testing Responsibilities

• Design and implement frameworks for backend API and message-based testing using Cucumber and Spring Boot.(exposure to Karate a plus)
• Develop and execute tests for backend services, including REST API testing with tools like Postman, NewMan.
• Apply automation testing across middleware components (like ESB, MQ) to ensure integration and performance.
• Validate data across various databases (RDBMS and/or NO-SQL)

• Optional: Performance testing knowledge

Optional UI Testing Responsibilities

• Design and execute automated UI tests using Selenium and other popular tools (e.g., Cypress, TestCafe,Playwright).
• Implement various testing techniques such as data-driven testing and keyword-driven testing for web applications.

• Work closely with development teams to ensure comprehensive UI test coverage and maintain test scripts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Computer Science.
• 5+ years of experience as a Test Automation Engineer or Application Developer.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience with automation methodologies or application programming in Java and/or Python.

Skills and competencies:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Quick to adapt to new processes and technologies.
• Strong coding, design, and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with backend API services and cloud infrastructure environments.
• Understanding of HL7 v2, CCD-A, and FHIR standards, or prior experience in the Healthcare domain is preferred.
