Flexion Inc. a Madison, WI based IT Consulting and Services firm is looking for a Data Warehouse Project Manager/Scrum Master to work on a long-term consulting project. The client for this position is based in Madison, WI. Candidates must currently be located in Wisconsin, but work can be done remotely.



Our client has a need for a Project Manager / Scrum Master. This team is responsible for BI/Analytics, a data lake platform, master data management (MDM), data integration, data conversion, data quality, data architecture, data modeling, data literacy, and data governance. This person will work on a small, collaborative team that uses agile practices to deliver value to our business partners. To qualify for this position you must have strong technical knowledge in data management.



Required skills and experience:


* Minimum of 5 years in a Scrum Master role leading scrums for business intelligence and data warehousing.

* Minimum of 5 years in a Project Manager role leading Agile technical projects.

* Minimum of 5 years in large, complex enterprise-level projects consisting of multiple teams

* Experience leading and managing large, complex enterprise-level projects consisting of multiple agile teams using Scrum/agile methodologies. Must have experience leading projects for business intelligence and data warehousing.



  • Knowledge of both agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment.


  • Experience defining project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; organizing and leading project status and working meetings; preparing and distributing progress reports; managing risks and issues; correcting deviations from plans; and performing delivery planning for assigned projects.




  • Experience in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work; and mentoring and developing team members.




  • Experience assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts daily, identifying resource needs, performing quality review; and escalating functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately.




  • Sufficient technical experience with data management and analytics to provide highly credible leadership to technical teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues.




  • Provide leadership for release management.
