Overview:
Our client, a Philadelphia based Healthcare Insurance company, is seeking several IT Business Analysts to join their growing team! This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build upon their career and gain additional experience in the areas of IT, application development and business analysis.

This position is HYBRID onsite in Philadelphia pa. Candidates must work onsite T/W/TH. This position does not offer any sponsorship options.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an entry-level IT Business Analyst (or Business Systems Analyst) to support healthcare technology initiatives within our organization. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or junior professional with a foundational understanding of IT systems and business analysis principles. The analyst will work under general supervision to assist with process improvements, system enhancements, and data analysis that support clinical, administrative, and operational functions across healthcare environments.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in defining scope and objectives for IT initiatives based on the needs of healthcare stakeholders, including clinical, administrative, and operational teams.
  • Gather, document, and validate business and system requirements, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and healthcare standards
  • Support process improvement projects aimed at increasing efficiency, patient care quality, and compliance.
  • Analyze healthcare workflows, identify gaps or inefficiencies, and recommend data-driven solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate the impact of technology on clinical operations and patient outcomes.
  • Assist in preparing documentation such as business cases, cost/benefit analyses, process models, and project proposals.
  • Provide analytical and technical support for healthcare IT systems, such as electronic health records (EHR), patient scheduling, and claims management.
  • Coordinate tasks and communication between IT teams, healthcare providers, and support staff.

Qualifications:

  • Foundational understanding of business analysis and technical systems within a healthcare or IT environment.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Sigma, SQL, Visual Studio, or similar platforms.
  • Exposure to or interest in UX design principles and the ability to collaborate with design and development teams to improve user experience.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable business improvements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with healthcare-specific systems is a plus.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor s degree in Health Information Systems, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
