Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Software Solutions Architect (Development) to design, develop, and implement enterprise integration solutions supporting healthcare data exchange platforms. This role focuses on solution architecture, interface development, message transformation, and system design within a healthcare integration environment.

The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional technical and business teams to enhance automated processes, ensure data integrity, and support secure, standards-based system integrations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop technical solutions for new integration use cases
  • Build interfaces based on functional and technical specifications
  • Translate business requirements into system architecture and technical designs
  • Develop custom filters and components using integration engine developer kits
  • Create and maintain message mappings and mapper definitions
  • Develop and maintain JavaScript-based transformations within integration platforms
  • Implement SOAP, REST, and other API-based integrations
  • Perform data format translations across HL7 v2, HL7 v3, FHIR, CDA, XML, JSON, and flat files
  • Support CDA document mapping and conversion activities
  • Prepare and maintain SDLC documentation, including code reviews
  • Design and configure database connections (SQL Server, Oracle)
  • Configure and manage TCP, HTTP, LLP, and OAuth connections
  • Ensure overall system design consistency, scalability, and maintainability
  • Own solution configuration and code quality standards

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong JavaScript development experience
  • Proficiency in SQL and XML
  • Hands-on experience with HL7 v2.x messaging
  • Experience with HL7 FHIR standards
  • Knowledge of CDA standards and document types
  • Familiarity with healthcare vocabularies (LOINC, SNOMED, RxNorm)
  • Understanding of Health Information Exchange (HIE) concepts
  • Experience with IHE profiles and healthcare implementation guides

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with healthcare integration engines (version 7.x preferred)
  • Use of developer kits for building custom filters and mappers
  • Message payload translation across multiple data formats
  • Experience with SOAP, REST, OAuth, TCP, and LLP protocols
  • Knowledge of transport security including TLS and certificate-based authentication
