Job Description Summary
Do you have significant experience in Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) technology? Are you interested in developing HRSG service solutions and leading engineering teams through challenging CM&U (Conversion, Modification & Uprate) projects? Do you like working in a fast-paced environment and supporting a highly varied fleet? As an HRSG ITR (Inquiry to Remittance) engineer you will create technical solutions in the ITO (Inquiry to Order) phase and manage engineering work and budget in the OTR (Order to Remittance) phase. For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $108,200 - $144,300 USD Annual
The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This Lead Professional Band position is also eligible for a variable incentive bonus of 10%.
*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.

Job Description
Essential Functions:
- Create technical proposals for HRSG CM&U offers to support Upgrades business plans. Serve as a pre-ITO and ITO focal point for the Americas.
- Manage HRSG CM&U orders; coordinate and drive project schedules to maintain on-time deliverables and engineering hour budgets. Manage and track Bills of Material, part line creation, part definition and ordering. Create Field Modification Instructions and support installation planning, outage activities and related technical field issues.
- Coordinate with sales, commercial, engineering, project management, compliance, sourcing, product line, field personnel and others to define scope, effort, and delivery cycle on the ITO side and ensure project success on the OTR side.
- Represent engineering in discussions with customers. Serve as the interface between GEV Project Managers and engineering teams.
- Engage in team leadership activities as instructed by the team manager and team leader. Direct, oversee and approve day-to-day work of newer team members, plus provide training, mentorship and coaching. Lead recurring coordination sessions with HRSG Engineering and document action items/meeting notes in a timely fashion.
- Embrace Lean principles and methods in personal work and leadership role. Assist team manager in strategizing, driving and executing Lean, continuous improvement, and quality initiatives.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.from an accredited university or college.
- 4-5 years' experience with HRSG technology, turbine or generator technology, systems, accessories, balance of plant, and/or controls.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong track record of delivering on challenges while working on multiple simultaneous projects.
- Proven strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to play a flexible role contributing to success in the HRSG ITR team.
Desired Characteristics:
- Experience with HRSG CM&U and/or new unit HRSG projects.
- Experience in Application and/or Requisition Engineering; experience in Product Service Engineering.
- Familiarity with GEV HRSG Engineering teams, as well as their practices and tools.
- Familiarity with HRSG manufacturing and servicing practices.
- Detailed knowledge of compliance codes and standards, plus interaction with Notified Bodies.
- Proven ability to work well with global colleagues in a matrixed team environment.
- Willingness to drive change and develop new processes.
- Willingness to assist the team manager in additional ways.
- Ability and willingness to travel occasionally (<<10%), sometimes on short notice.
