Position: Cybersecurity Architect with a specific focexpertise on Fortinet

Location: Remote

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Architect with a specific focus on Fortinet technologies for a long-term remote engagement. This individual must bring 9+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity with deep, hands-on expertise in architecting and implementing security solutions leveraging the Fortinet Security Fabric. A valid Fortinet certification (NSE 4 or higher) is mandatory for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for Fortinet security solutions across enterprise environments.
• Design, architect, and implement comprehensive security infrastructures using Fortinet products including FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiWeb, FortiMail, and FortiAuthenticator.
• Evaluate existing security architectures and provide strategic recommendations for improvements.
• Lead security assessments, firewall policy reviews, and rule optimization for enterprise networks.
• Integrate Fortinet solutions with third-party security and networking technologies.
• Develop technical documentation including solution designs, implementation plans, and operational guides.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting support for security incidents and configuration issues related to Fortinet devices.
• Stay current on the latest security trends, threats, and Fortinet product updates.

Required Qualifications:

• 9+ years of cybersecurity experience with a significant focus on network security architecture and engineering.
• Hands-on expertise in Fortinet technologies (FortiGate firewalls, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiWeb, etc.).
• Active Fortinet certification minimum NSE 4, preferably NSE 5 7.
• Strong understanding of firewall policy design, VPN, SD-WAN, IPS, and threat management features within the Fortinet suite.
• Experience designing and deploying security solutions for enterprise or large-scale environments.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, etc.).
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with additional security tools (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/Firepower, Check Point, etc.).
• Cloud security experience (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform).
• Familiarity with SIEM tools and incident response processes.
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH in addition to Fortinet certs.
