Summary
The MFG Systems Analyst formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, document, and maintains those programs. Competent to work on most phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities, but requires instruction and guidance in other phases.
The salary range for this position is $73,000 - $109,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Translates the requirements for system function to detail program designs using the Systems Development Methodology (SDM) and appropriate project management applications.
- Codes, tests, configure and documents programs and systems from detailed specifications using the systems development methodology (SDM) and structured programming practices to produce reliable programs.
- Actively supports the Team Management and Quality Improvement Process through demonstrated commitment of its concepts and tools (teambuilding, zero defects, measurement, goal setting, process models, etc.).
- Works as a team member in the development, enhancement and support of applications that meet or exceed customer requirements.
- Maintains technical proficiency by training and using the latest techniques in developing and maintaining systems.
- Acquires knowledge of existing applications for troubleshooting and user questions to be an asset to the user community. In addition, provides twenty-four hour/day, seven days/week on-call support of critical systems.
Minimum Education
BS degree or equivalent related work experience in Computer Science, Information Technology or Business Management.
Experience Requirements
- 2+ years experience in IT Support or a similiar role.
- Shows a progression in the systems development field from programming through project management and demonstrating the required skill for this position.
- Requires knowledge in computer analysis and programming, systems development methodology, project management, customer and communication skills.
- Continuous improvement in knowledge of the poultry industry via poultry technology courses.
- Rotating twenty-four hour systems support is required.
- Rotating weekend systems support is required.
- Requires travel up to 20%, possibly overnight, to any customer area, which could be any Company facility or to a remote site for disaster recovery or training or to a training facility or conference

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
- Positions at ASC and Corporate are mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings, or support in facilities when they are deployed to a site. Positions in plants involve moving throughout the plants, feedmills, hatcheries and other facilities as needed to deploy, monitor, and support manufacturing systems equipment.
- May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
- May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
- Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
- When in a plant environment:
- Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
- May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
- May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
- May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.
- May be exposed to all chemicals found in poultry, food and processing plant.
- Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company
