Job Title: Technical Product Owner Databricks & AI
Job Location: 100% Remote
Job Duration: 12+ Months contract

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Product Owner with strong expertise in Databricks, AI/ML, and advanced data engineering practices. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, driving the development and delivery of data-driven products and AI-powered solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison between business, data engineering, and AI/ML teams.
  • Own and manage the product backlog for data and AI initiatives, ensuring clear prioritization and alignment with business goals.
  • Define product requirements and user stories related to Databricks workflows, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), model engineering, and prompt engineering.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and data analysts to deliver scalable and efficient AI-driven solutions.
  • Ensure seamless integration of Databricks in both Azure and AWS ecosystems for analytics, model training, and deployment.
  • Drive experimentation and optimization of AI models, LLMs, and RAG pipelines for real-world use cases.
  • Monitor product performance, identify improvements, and ensure delivery of high-quality data products.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Product Owner, Data Product Manager, or similar role.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Databricks (Azure & AWS environments).
  • Proven experience with prompt engineering, RAG, and model engineering.
  • Solid understanding of AI/ML concepts, LLMs, and data pipelines.
  • Strong background in data analytics, data engineering, and product lifecycle management.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and requirement-gathering skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in cloud-native AI services (Azure AI, AWS Bedrock, OpenAI, etc.).
  • Familiarity with MLOps, CI/CD pipelines, and model deployment practices.
  • Background in data governance, compliance, and performance optimization.
