Job Description

Position Title: Security Remediation engineer

Location: Iselin, NJ (Locals Only)

Length: Long Term Contract

• Analyze and interpret vulnerability scan results.
• Fix vulnerabilities reported by security tools and teams across infrastructure and applications.
• Deploy patches on Windows and Unix/Linux servers in coordination with system administrators.
• Collaborate closely with application owners to track, manage, and ensure timely closure of remediation tasks.
• Maintain ongoing communication with stakeholders to provide updates on remediation status and timelines.
• Track remediation progress and provide regular reports to leadership and compliance teams.
• Participate in root cause analysis for recurring vulnerabilities or SLA breaches.
• Ensure remediation aligns with internal policies, standards, and industry best practices.
• Support regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC2, PCI-DSS) through effective vulnerability management.
• Automate remediation tracking and reporting using scripting or commercial tools.
• Work across Windows and Unix server environments; strong hands-on experience required.
• Collaborate with the Security Operations Center (SOC) and other security teams as needed.
• Maintain thorough documentation of vulnerabilities, actions taken, and closure status.
