Job Title: PeopleSoft Developer
Location: Remote
Duration: Long term
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced remote PeopleSoft Developer to provide development, maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer support for enterprise PeopleSoft environments. The ideal candidate will support one or more of the following modules: Human Resources (HR), Finance, Payroll, or Campus Solutions.
This role requires significant expertise with PeopleTools and the full suite of underlying PeopleSoft technologies, along with strong communication and problem-solving skills to support both functional and technical users.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain PeopleSoft applications across HR, Finance, Payroll, or Campus Solutions modules.
- Build, modify, and troubleshoot PeopleSoft components using PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Application Engine, Application Packages, SQR, Component Interfaces, Integration Broker, BI Publisher, and related technologies.
- Support and execute PeopleTools upgrades, patching, and system migrations (including PALMA upgrades).
- Work directly with business users and stakeholders to gather requirements, resolve issues, and deliver excellent customer service.
- Analyze and optimize business processes through custom technical solutions and enhancements.
- Participate in unit, system, and user acceptance testing.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all development work.
- Collaborate with both functional and technical teams to ensure smooth operations and project execution.
- Respond promptly to incidents and service requests while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Assist with integrations, data conversions, and reporting tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on PeopleSoft development experience in at least one major area: HR, Finance, Payroll, or Campus Solutions.
- Advanced proficiency with:
- PeopleTools
- PeopleCode
- Application Engine
- Application Packages
- SQR
- Component Interfaces
- Integration Broker
- BI Publisher
- SQL
- Proven experience with PeopleTools upgrades, patching, and system migrations including PALMA upgrades.
- Excellent customer support and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting multiple PeopleSoft modules or environments.
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft/Oracle Cloud infrastructure.
- Familiarity with change management and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Experience with PeopleSoft integrations, data conversions, and reporting.
