Instructional Designer
The Instructional Designer role is a highly innovative learning architect who can craft compelling, learner-centric experiences that drive measurable performance outcomes. The ideal candidate seamlessly integrates instructional theory with real-world applications, modern learning technologies, and business acumen to deliver training solutions that align with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth needs analysis, performance gap assessments, and stakeholder interviews to validate business opportunities and identify the right learning solutions.
- Instructional Design & Curriculum Development
- Design multimodal learning journeys (eLearning, ILT/vILT, infographics, micro-learning, job aids, simulations) aligned to business KPIs. Solutions must incorporate clear learning objectives, interactivity, and problem-solving to promote knowledge retention.
- Create instructionally sound content using authoring tools such as Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise), Adobe Creative Suite, Camtasia, Vyond, Synthesia, and other relevant platforms.
- Design and deploy scalable, on-brand experiences using professional-grade visuals, media, and interactive elements.
- Create comprehensive, user-friendly facilitator guides that set a clear standard for delivery.
- Guides should include learning objectives, timing for each activity, detailed talking points, facilitation instructions, interactive prompts, required materials, technical setup notes, and contingency planning tips to ensure consistency across instructors and sessions.
- Set instructors up for success through structured Train-the-Trainer (TTT) programs, facilitator certification, observation and coaching, and live demonstrations of key modules.
- Ensure trainers are confident, aligned with learning objectives, and capable of delivering a consistent, high-quality experience to learners.
- Design formative and summative assessments to evaluate learning effectiveness.
- Apply Kirkpatrick levels and integrate feedback, behavioral observation, and performance metrics into iterative improvements.
- Partner with peers and media teams to incorporate advanced learning elements scenario-based simulations, video, animations, interactive infographics, and gamification.
- Present learning plans and design deliverables confidently and professionally to cross-functional leaders and SMEs. Influence decisions through evidence-based design practices.
- Stay current on learning and development (L&D) best practices, learning science, and tools.
- Evaluate new technologies and pilot modern solutions
- Bachelor's degree in instructional design, educational technology, a related field, and/or 5+ years of instructional design experience.
- Experience includes independently leading L&D projects from initial needs analysis and stakeholder alignment through solution design, development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Instructional Mastery: Demonstrated ability to design from scratch using adult learning theory, Bloom's taxonomy, Mayer's multimedia principles, and performance-based design.
- Proficiency in Articulate Storyline 360, Rise, Vyond, Adobe Creative Suite, Camtasia, Figma, and Synthesia
- Familiarity with SCORM/xAPI standards and LMS systems
