We are seeking an experienced and outstanding Apigee Support Engineer for one of our esteemed clients.

Role: Apigee Support Engineer

Location: Hybrid Onsite Tampa FL, Jersey City Nj, Dallas, TX

Duration: Long-term

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Apigee Gateway platforms.
  • Monitor API performance, availability, and security across environments.
  • Handle incident resolution, root cause analysis (RCA), and postmortem reporting for API-related issues.
  • Deploy, manage, and maintain API proxies, shared flows, and related Apigee configurations.
  • Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure smooth integration of APIs.
  • Manage and support traffic policies, quota enforcement, caching, and security features.
  • Work with logging and monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Datadog, Stackdriver) to identify bottlenecks or failures.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.
  • Document support procedures, APIs, error responses, and deployment guidelines.
  • Assist in migrating APIs between environments (Dev, QA, Staging, Production).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience in API support or integration engineering roles.
  • Hands-on experience with Apigee Edge (API proxies, shared flows, policy execution).
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, OAuth 2.0, API security, and JSON/XML.
  • Proficiency in debugging tools like Postman, cURL, and log analysis.
  • Familiarity with API lifecycle management, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment best practices.
  • Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Shell, Node.js) are a plus.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure (especially Google Cloud Platform for Apigee X).
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and customer support skills.
