Job Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. This role will work closely with production, quality, and design teams to ensure smooth manufacturing operations, continuous improvement, and adherence to industry standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Process Design & Optimization:

    • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, workflows, and equipment layouts.

    • Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.

    • Reduce waste and improve efficiency using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.

  • Production Support:

    • Provide technical support to production teams for troubleshooting and process-related issues.

    • Ensure manufacturing equipment is maintained and calibrated for optimal performance.

    • Coordinate with maintenance for preventive and corrective actions.

  • Quality Assurance:

    • Ensure processes comply with quality standards and regulatory requirements.

    • Work with quality teams to investigate and resolve non-conformance issues.

    • Implement process control systems to maintain consistent quality.

  • Cost & Efficiency Management:

    • Conduct cost analysis to identify savings opportunities in materials, labor, and production processes.

    • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for efficiency and consistency.

  • New Product Introduction (NPI):

    • Collaborate with R&D and design engineers to transition products from prototype to production.

    • Develop manufacturing plans, tooling, and equipment for new products.


Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

  • Experience: 2 5 years of experience in manufacturing or production engineering (entry-level roles may require internships/co-ops).

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).

    • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement tools.

    • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing data analysis.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Strong problem-solving abilities.

    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

    • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher).

  • Experience in automation and robotics integration.

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or other industry-specific quality standards.


Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Office and factory floor environment.

  • May require standing, lifting, and walking for extended periods.

  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
