Job Title: Quality Assurance Tester - Remote / Telecommute

Job Description:
- The Quality Assurance Tester will be responsible for planning, executing, and documenting testing activities to ensure software applications meet functional and technical requirements.
- The role involves close collaboration with business analysts, developers, and project teams to uphold software quality standards and ensure successful delivery of high-quality solutions.
Test Planning:
- Work with business analysts and application developers to develop test plans based on functional specifications.
- Develop additional testing documents such as test scenarios, test cases, and test matrices.
- Create test data to support test execution.
- Assist in preparing scripts for automated test execution.
- Assist in setting up test environments to mirror the production environment.
- Work with clients and project teams to ensure requirements and development standards are met.
- Execute test plans and scripts, both manual and automated.
- Validate and document test results.
- Make recommendations to the project team and Production Acceptance regarding quality readiness.
- Assist with test environment refreshes.
- Adhere to QA and departmental standards.
- Participate in project meetings as required.
- Document and track program defects.
- Provide initial analysis of defects to developers and project teams.
- Research and assist developers in resolving open defects.
- Participate in improving existing quality assurance and control processes.
- Disseminate standards to testing groups and monitor compliance.
- Work with project teams, developers, or vendors to audit application testing.
- Assist in maintaining test environments and testing tools.
- Communicate plans, status, and issues to management regularly.
- Adhere to department standards, policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
- Working knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Understanding of Project and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Understanding of distributed and multi-tiered application concepts.
- Ability to analyze and process information effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to create clear and concise documentation.
- Ability to create process flow diagrams and flowcharts using Visio or similar tools.
- Beginning to intermediate proficiency in SQL query language.
- Minimum 1 year of experience testing a variety of software applications, including web applications.
- Entertainment industry experience preferred.
