Job Description: Supplier Master Data Analyst (Contractor) Location: Remote / Hybrid (Houston, TX preferred) Minimum Experience - 8 yrs
Overview

Client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical contractor to support supplier master data management during two major initiatives: the implementation of the HICX supplier management system and the upcoming ERP transition (Project Atlas). The contractor will work closely with internal stakeholders to support data mapping, validation, and cleanup tasks while gaining expertise in Weatherford's supplier hierarchy model.
This role is essential for identifying and addressing data quality issues within the supplier master. The analyst will need to detect patterns in erroneous data, investigate regional and compliance-based requirements (e.g., bank codes, tax identifiers), and apply findings to cleanse and reframe the master data structure. This work will directly support the definition of a future-ready framework for supplier master data within Oracle Cloud.
Key Responsibilities
Review and validate data mappings between HICX and JD Edwards (JDE), including transformation logic.
Assist with cleansing and enriching supplier master records for accuracy and consistency.
Maintain and update supplier hierarchy structures (Partner, Location, Local Partner, Local Location).
Identify and investigate data quality issues and coordinate corrections with relevant teams.
Research regional standards and regulatory formats (e.g., banking, tax, identifiers) to guide cleansing activities.
Identify recurring data patterns or issues that require structural changes.
Document transformation rules, validations, and key definitions for supplier master data.
Participate in UAT and provide feedback on transformation results and business logic.
Support supplier data workstreams for Project Atlas using knowledge gained from HICX involvement.

Required Qualifications

3 5 years of experience in supplier/vendor master data management.
Experience with ERP/MDM systems such as JD Edwards, Oracle, SAP, or Informatica MDM.
Familiarity with data mapping, cleansing, and transformation processes.
Understanding of supplier data structures and parent/child relationships.
Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data transformation/reporting tools (Alteryx preferred).
Demonstrated ability to research regional data requirements and resolve quality issues.
Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
Good communication and documentation skills.

Objective:

Support the validation, cleanup, and transition of supplier master data for Weatherford's HICX implementation and future ERP migration.

Scope of Work:

Validate data mapping and transformation logic from HICX to JDE.
Perform data cleansing activities and support exception reporting.
Investigate regional compliance requirements (e.g., banking/tax formats) to guide cleanup.
Detect recurring data quality issues and recommend structural improvements.
Maintain supplier hierarchy integrity.
Support documentation and testing for data validation.
Assist in transition planning for Oracle ERP supplier data structure.

Deliverables:

Documented mapping and validation logic
