Job Summary
The JDE Lead will be responsible for leading the support, enhancement, and modernization of clients JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (JDE E1) ERP system.
This role will involve overseeing day-to-day application management activities, coordinating issue resolution.
Leading small enhancements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align JDE capabilities with Buckeye s business goals.
The candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for all JDE-related matters and manage both internal and offshore support teams to maintain service levels and deliver continuous improvement.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 10+ years of experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (JDE E1), including recent hands-on experience as a lead.
- Strong functional knowledge of one or more modules such as Financials (GL/AP/AR), Distribution (Sales/Procurement), or Manufacturing.
- Technical knowledge in CNC, E1 page customizations, UDOs, and orchestrations is a plus.
- Prior experience managing JD Edwards in a managed services model or production support environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across both functional and technical domains.
- Excellent communication and client engagement skills; ability to interact with business and IT stakeholders.
- Experience with service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow), ITIL practices, and SLA-driven environments.
- Familiarity with change control processes, test planning, and deployment cycles.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting JDE in the Oil & Gas, Midstream, or Utilities sectors.
- Knowledge of integrations between JDE and OT/field systems (e.g., Maximo, SCADA).
- ITIL certification or training.
- Experience with data migration, archival strategies, or JDE
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary JDE functional and technical lead for Buckeye s ERP landscape.
- Manage and resolve JDE incidents, service requests, and enhancement tickets per defined SLAs.
- Lead root cause analysis for recurring issues and recommend long-term fixes or process improvements.
- Collaborate with Buckeye business teams (Finance, Supply Chain, Operations) to understand and implement business requirements.
- Drive minor and major enhancements through design, configuration, testing, and deployment in JDE.
- Provide leadership to a global support team (onshore/offshore/nearshore) and coordinate workload, escalations, and status updates.
- Ensure proper documentation is maintained for configurations, customizations, and processes.
- Monitor system performance and coordinate patching, upgrades, and integrations in line with Buckeye s IT change management process.
- Support integration of JDE with other enterprise systems (e.g., reporting platforms, procurement, maintenance).
- Participate in governance calls, client status meetings, and planning sessions to support Buckeye s IT roadmap.
