RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Anaheim, CA that is seeking a Data Pipeline Solutions Owner.
Responsibilities:
* Own the end-to-end delivery of complex data pipeline projects, ensuring timely and high-quality outcomes aligned with business needs
* The Data Pipeline Solutions Owner will lead and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and technical excellence
* Translate business requirements into technical specifications and ensure deliverables meet both technical and stakeholder expectations
* Oversee and manage multiple concurrent projects, prioritizing tasks effectively to align with business priorities and technical capacity
* Be hands-on with architecture, design, and development of modern data pipelines using cloud and on-premise technologies
* Run agile ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and maintain work tracking in Jira
* Provide clear, business-friendly updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Ensure data pipelines are designed for performance, scalability, and maintainability
* The Data Pipeline Solutions Owner will manage cross-functional dependencies, risks, and roadblocks proactively
* Foster continuous improvement in team processes, tooling, and technical standards
REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong background in building scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
* 2+ years of experience leading data engineering teams or managing technical delivery across multiple workstreams
* Deep knowledge of SQL, Python, cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform), and modern data pipeline tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt, Kafka, etc.)
* Strong experience with Jira, sprint planning, and Agile project management methodologies
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deliver concise, value-driven updates to business stakeholders
* Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines
* Experience working closely with data consumers (BI teams, analysts, business units) to deliver data products that drive business outcomes
* Strong understanding of data governance, security, and quality best practices
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in healthcare or other highly regulated industries
* Familiarity with data visualization/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
* Experience with CI/CD and DevOps for data pipelines is a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
