Location: Remote (U.S. based)
Contract Duration: 6 months, with possibility of extension

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Quality Engineer Contractor to join a dynamic Data Delivery & Operations Division that supports critical investment and operations teams. This group is focused on delivering high-quality data solutions and enabling robust reporting capabilities across the enterprise.

This position is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong background in data quality frameworks, Informatica Data Quality (IDQ), Snowflake, Azure, and SLA-based monitoring within complex data environments. The role is fully remote and offers the opportunity to work on high-impact data initiatives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement data quality rules using Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) for validating schema, format, completeness, and business rule compliance.
  • Develop and manage SLA monitoring frameworks to track external file delivery performance and compliance.
  • Build alerting and exception handling workflows for late, missing, or malformed data files.
  • Profile data in Azure Blob Storage and Snowflake to identify and mitigate quality issues (e.g., nulls, duplicates, schema drift).
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to embed validation in ingestion pipelines.
  • Partner with business and governance teams to define data quality standards and reporting practices.
  • Create dashboards, documentation, and issue logs to support ongoing quality measurement.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis for quality breaches and drive corrective actions.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica Data Quality (IDQ).
  • Experience working with investment-related datasets, including security master and holdings.
  • Familiarity with ETL orchestration, file delivery protocols, and data contracts.
  • Advanced proficiency in Snowflake and Azure Blob Storage.
  • Experience using Snowpipe for data ingestion.
  • 2+ years working with FactSet.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and manage SLA-based monitoring systems.
  • In-depth understanding of data quality dimensions (accuracy, completeness, validity, timeliness).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in the Financial Services or Asset Management industry.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.

This is a fully remote contract role with potential for renewal.
If you're passionate about delivering high-quality data solutions and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply.
