Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced OSI PI Historian to provide operational support and project assistance for the Grid Management System (GridMS) Historian, AVEVA PI. This critical role supports the situational awareness and analytics for our client’s Distribution and Subtrans grid systems. The ideal candidate will offer advanced technical expertise and will be involved in the ongoing operations and enhancements of the GridMS PI Historian capabilities. This position offers a hybrid schedule, accommodating both remote and on-site work responsibilities, tailored to promote work-life balance while ensuring operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Translate business requirements into operationally viable designs and solutions.
  • Plan and conduct both structured and unstructured testing phases, including support for end-user testing of Historian capabilities and features.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain PI analytics and reports to meet Transmission & Distribution (T&D) client specifications.
  • Provide technical support for client requests, ensuring efficient resolution of complex issues within the system.
  • Maintain and enhance existing/new custom applications and scripts for the GridMS PI Historian.
  • Share knowledge and consult with internal teams on technical and operational aspects of the PI system.
  • Ensure all operations and activities adhere to compliance requirements and cybersecurity standards.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 8 years in IT or Engineering roles, supporting data or analytics solutions.
  • At least 5 years of experience in implementing AVEVA/OSI PI Solutions or administering PI in complex environments.
  • Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting issues related to real-time systems.
  • Proficiency in shell scripting and Python programming.
  • Experience with C# / .NET development.
  • Familiarity with PI integration and custom adaptors is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of Transmission and Distribution grids and/or experience with Distribution Management Systems (DMS).
  • Competence in SQL queries and familiarity with various reporting tools and platforms.
  • Knowledge of industrial protocols such as DNP3, Modbus, and IEC61850.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment that fosters collaboration and innovation.


Pay Range: $60.00 - $65.00 Hourly

This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
