Role: Appian System Administrator
Location: Remote

Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Appian environments (Dev, QA, UAT, Prod) in cloud or on-premise setups.
- Monitor system health, availability, and performance using Appian and third-party tools.
- Manage user access, authentication (LDAP/SAML/OIDC), and role-based permissions.
- Troubleshoot environmental, performance, and integration issues in coordination with Appian support and internal teams.
- Handle patch management, hotfix deployments, and version upgrades in coordination with stakeholders.
- Configure and manage Appian High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) environments.
- Ensure compliance with security standards, including SSL/TLS certificates, audit logging, and access control policies.
- Support the DevOps lifecycle including CI/CD pipelines, Appian deployments, and automation scripts.
- Maintain documentation for configuration, standard operating procedures, and incident resolution.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience administering the Appian platform in an enterprise environment.
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix, Windows Server, and application server management (JBoss/WebSphere/Tomcat).
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (preferred if using Appian Cloud).
- Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL) and JDBC configurations.
- Working knowledge of Appian architecture, including engines, data servers, and service managers.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Maven) and scripting (Shell, Python, PowerShell).
- Strong analytical and communication skills with a proactive attitude toward issue resolution.
- Appian Administrator Certification is a plus.
