Job Description:
- Pay: $50-65/hr
- 100% Onsite role
- 1-year assignment with possibility of extension or conversion based on performance and budget
- This position will be serving as the SAFe Agile Product Owner for a dedicated software development team supporting medical instruments used in pathology labs.
- You will be responsible for owning and managing the product backlog, including creating user stories, defining acceptance criteria, prioritizing work, and formally accepting deliverables.
- You will be responsible for acting as the voice of the customer, translating complex user workflows and design principles into customer-centric software solutions.
- You will also be responsible for guiding project execution by partnering closely with technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic priorities.
- You will also be responsible for providing servant leadership and coaching to a self-organizing Agile team, fostering collaboration, continuous improvement, and delivery excellence.
Qualifications:
- 5-10+ years of experience in a software development environment, including product ownership responsibilities
- Direct experience working as a Product Owner within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) is highly preferred!
- Experience creating, managing, and prioritizing product backlog
- Project management experience, particularly within a software delivery environment preferred!
- Experience in medical devices or other regulated industries preferred!
- Familiarity with Agile and project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheet, or similar platforms
- Agile-related certifications (SAFe Agile, Product Owner, etc) strongly preferred
