Job Details
Systems Engineering Services is seeking a Data Governance Lead based out of the DMV area.
Top 5 Technical Skills:
- Strong project and program management experience (leadership and hands-on) with a proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex initiatives.
- Data Ownership, Quality Standards and Policies - Platform Leadership - Data Governance Strategy and Operating Model
- Experience with Master Data Management, Data Lineage, and Glossary Development.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of technical concepts such as data integration patterns (ETL/ELT, APIs), data lakes, and database technologies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Snowflake and other data tools (e.g., dbt, Azure data factory).
- Experience in a regulated industry or with compliance frameworks is a bonus but not required.
- Understanding and practical experience with AI/Machine Learning concepts as applied to data governance, such as automated data classification, intelligent tagging, or predictive data quality
