Description
We are looking for a skilled Programmer Analyst to join our Student Systems team in Burlington, Vermont. This position involves supporting and enhancing software systems critical to the operations of students, faculty, and staff at the University. The role requires involvement in all stages of the software development lifecycle, from initial analysis and design to deployment and ongoing maintenance, ensuring applications are efficient, secure, and meet organizational needs.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to support and improve enterprise software solutions.
Conduct research and analysis to design and develop applications that meet organizational requirements.
Maintain and enhance existing systems, including Ellucian Banner, ensuring optimal functionality.
Assist in the implementation of next-generation student information systems.
Automate processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Ensure the accuracy, security, and timely flow of data across systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively to minimize disruptions.
Develop Java-based web services and work with relational databases.
Provide technical support for enterprise-wide applications and middleware tools.
Stay updated on emerging technologies relevant to student information systems.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
Minimum of three years' experience in scripting and programming.
Proficiency with Ellucian Banner Student Information System.
Strong knowledge of relational databases and enterprise application development.
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and learn new technologies quickly.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
