Title: SAP ABAP Developer

Location: Newark, NJ. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • This position is responsible for supporting all aspects of the full project lifecycle: gathering requirements, technical research, backend and frontend development, quality assurance, deployment, maintenance and support for all components of the SAP system landscape as well as integration with non-SAP applications.
  • Work with utility data lake projects, involving analysis of SAP interfaces tied to asset strategies, work management (gas operations) etc.
  • Develop, configure, implement, and support SAP's solutions.
  • Debug and implement enhancements in existing applications.
  • Resolve customer issues.
  • Follow development standards and create and maintain technical design specifications.
  • Collaborate with other team members and business partners to drive process and system improvements and provide technical advice and guidance to functional partners.
  • Proactively provide work status.

 

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in application development utilizing SAP ABAP/4
  • 10+ years of SAP ABAP programming experience
  • Good experience with SAP BW
  • Experience in OOPs
  • Experience in Performance tuning
  • Good understanding of SAP Modules
  • Experience with debugging SAP standard programs/tcodes
  • Experience with Development Tool Kit using HANA studio or Eclipse
  • Strong knowledge of types of CDS views
  • Data Modelling experience using HANA Studio, ABAP Development Tools (ADT), Code Performance Rules and Guidelines for SAP HANA, ADBC, Native SQL, ABAP Core data Services, Data Base Procedures, Text Search, ALV on HANA, and HANA Live models consumption
  • Expert programming experience in the following technical areas: Reporting (conventional and interactive), Object Oriented ABAP, User exits, Business Add-Ins and Enhancement spots, Interface development, BAPI, Module Pool (on-line dialog), SAP Script and Smart-Forms, ISU-Print workbench
  • Experience supporting large and complex production SAP environments
  • Excellent analytical skills and a sense of urgency
  • Experience with process mapping
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Good to have experience in Utilities
  • Good to have experience of SAP ISU module and Meter-to-Cash flows & transactions
